Company Information:

Based in St. Louis, MO, Cassidy Turley is a leading commercial real estate services provider with 3,200 employees in 60 offices nationwide. The company’s growth strategy has been through multiple acquisitions across the country. A recent and key acquisition of the company was Capstar Commercial Real Estate in Dallas, TX. With roughly 200 employees and 500 clients, this acquisition was the foundation to establish Cassidy Turley’s presence in the Texas market.

Project Information:

Capstar Commercial Real Estate, an entity now owned by Cassidy Turley has been a client of CCG for over 4 years. CCG has conducted several engagements for the company. The initial engagement conducted by CCG involved a financial and functional feasibility analysis of the company’s current coemployment arrangement. Because Capstar was utilizing a total outsourcing model via the PEO, the analysis was very complex as it involved many moving parts. After successfully completing the analysis the results proved favorable and Capstar opted to unbundle the services provided by the PEO. CCG was awarded the project which involved HR outsourcing solution consulting, RFP creation/management, and vendor selection of 4 unique vendors; Health and Welfare brokerage, Worker Compensation Brokerage, Fractional HR, and Payroll/Time/HRIS. In total, the project involved the evaluation of 16 unique vendors. CCG negotiated each vendor contract on behalf of Capstar and was successful in producing savings far beyond client expectations. Across all HR services areas evaluated, the overall project costs netted the company an annual savings of over $225,000. Capstar selected a start-up ASO provider because of their ability to integrate their Payroll/HRIS/Time application with their Fractional HR services. Unfortunately, the selected ASO vendor was not able to deliver its services to Capstar’s satisfaction as expected. A year later, Capstar re-engaged CCG to conduct another Payroll/HRIS/Time vendor evaluation to replace the previously placed vendor. CCG conducted the RFP process with the Capstar evaluation team of 3 and evaluated 4 providers, which included Workday, ADP, and Ceridian. Despite Capstar’s inclination to partner with a national player, the company selected PlanSource a reseller of Ultipro. Capstar was acquired in early 2011 and as a result was introduced to the Ultimate Software platform which has prompted the company’s interest to evaluate system options to move from their current ADP Enterprise/Kronos system CCG has been slated to conduct a Payroll/HRIS/Time system evaluation for Cassidy Turley in Q1 of 2012.
