CiCi's Enterprises is the corporate entity for the CiCi’s Pizza franchise. Along with its corporate staff and 15 corporate owned franchises, the company employs 600 individuals. The distribution entity for the company is also based out of the corporate office in Dallas, TX. The company operates or owns 650 restaurants which are located across 35 states. CiCi’s is a rapid growth stage and are opening 2-3 new stores each month in new markets across the US.
Project Information:
CCG was engaged to conduct a functional and feasibility analysis to determine whether it made sense to move the company’s current in-house HR operation to an outsourced model. This began with an evaluation of the current industry specific, DOS based, Argonaut payroll system. CCG also examined the current process flow of all of the manual and paper-based HR processes which included in depth analysis of their current process for reporting time through the company’s multiple POS systems. CCG conducted a return on investment analysis which examined the labor costs, system maintenance costs, and liability costs associated with the current operation. CCG was instrumental and successful in presenting this analysis to the board for budget approval for the following year. CiCi’s re-engaged CCG and with their 4 member evaluation team, CCG created a custom RFP, facilitated the RFP submittal to the vendor market, and evaluated 4 Payroll/HRIS and Time/Attendance providers. The finalists were narrowed down to 2 providers, Ultimate Software and Paylocity. CCG facilitated an onsite visit to Paylocity’s corporate office to assist CiCi’s in examining the company’s operation specific to data recovery and business continuation processes. After much deliberation, CiCi’s selected Paylocity primarily because of their unique ability to offer affordable payroll services to each franchisee.
